SUMMARY:Horsemanship Accountability Series #2
DESCRIPTION:This will be a lesson series designed to aid students who are committed to progressing in their horsemanship and partnership with their horse\, whether they are just starting out or have years of riding experience. \nTo participate in this lesson series\, each rider must have their own horse or be in a long term lease of a horse. \nThe idea of this clinic series is to provide support and accountability for each participant.  On first day of the series\, each rider will share with the group what they would like to work on/accomplish with their horse\, this discussion determine will determine what  topics are covered in the series (examples: groundwork\, trail work\, equitation\, trailering\, exercises/drills\, competitions\, etc). Each horse and rider team will set goals and develop a clear\, individualized exercise plan for both horse and rider. Instructor will assist each team in meeting short term and long term goals. Instructor will evaluate tack/equipment\, type/fit and identify any needs/changes that may need to be made for success. Each lesson will consist of time on the ground and in the saddle. \nBetween lessons\, riders should utilize their plan as a tool to inform their routines including\, horse care\, warm up and cool down stretches for their horse\, conditioning and exercises for both (horse and rider)\, as well as making traveling/competition plans if applicable. \nEach rider will be given an accountability journal to track horse care/health\, progress towards goals\, lessons/clinics taken\, expenses\, competitions plans if applicable. Each rider will also receive a series shirt. \nAt each lesson session riders will be asked to share\, reflect and discuss progress with the team on their journey towards meeting their goals\, as well as any hurdles they may have encountered. We will then work through how to address these and continue along the path towards a successful journey/partnership with their horse. \nWe will have team support (through email/group text and or social media group) for those riders that would like to take part. They can share motivational posts/quotes/comments\, questions\, experiences\, videos of exercises/rides to share with their team mates for reflection/discussion. \nEach and every horse and rider team will have the opportunity to earn their very own Cedar Ridge Equine Horsemanship Lesson Series Participation Buckle should they meet the following requirements: \n\nEach horse/rider must participate in 4/5 of the lessons. If they must miss a lesson they will still need to turn in their accountability journal and discuss with instructor their progress/successes/challenges. We understand extreme circumstances do come up and will take each case by case should they occur. Horse substitutions may be made with instructor approval.\nAccountability journal will be turned in and checked for completion at each of the lessons.\nRider must be kind\, courteous\, respectful to instructor/s and team members.\nRider is actively working with their horse towards meeting their individualized goal plan.\n\nTo Register: https://campscui.active.com/orgs/CedarRidgeEquineLLC?season=3757032&session=69394332 \nLead Instructor: Amy Prechter \nDates: (Dates are tentative and subject to change for weather/temperatures/events) \nHorsemanship Accountability Class Dates: 3/9\, 4/7\, 5/7\, 6/25\, 8/13\, 8/28 \nCost: $125 per lesson ($625 for series) (Must participate in 4/5 lessons and meet lesson participation requirements to receive a belt buckle)
