Tiger came into Amy’s life when, she was just 14 years old, her mother had recently passed away. Her mother had always hoped she would branch out from showing horses and try something new, particularly barrel racing. Amy’s Dad purchased Tiger for her and their journey together began, at the time he had no idea how influential this horse would be in her life, he passed on in 2021, but we know he saw the blessings Tiger had brought to Amy’s life. Tiger became more than a barrel horse, Amy competed for rodeo queen competitions on her, went down the trails and basically built her riding lesson program on this mares back. She was CRE’s go to horse for horsemanship and riding, she participated in nearly every horse camp that CRE has offered from 2005 to spring of 2025 and if she wasn’t in a camp it was because she had a foal at her side, she produced four beautiful foals for us. Tiger was our go to for beginner riders, if someone wanted to learn to canter/lope, she was the horse, her stride was incredibly smooth and slow. Her heart was so big, she always wanted to go and she truly thrived with having young kids riding her. We will hold her in our hearts forever and is greatly missed.
